School Games Mark
We have achieved our School Games Silver Award for the third year running!
The primary physical education (PE) and sport funding is used well to encourage greater participation in a wider range of physical activities.
Vision for Sport
At Rose Wood Academy we aim to build on our successes of the past few years by delivering a high-quality physical education curriculum. We aim to inspire all of our pupils to exceed and excel in competitive sport and other physical activities. We want to create a love and enjoyment of sport where children are confident and determined to succeed. We aim to provide opportunities for children to compete in sport in order to help embed values and skills such as teamwork, physical literacy, leadership, fair play and respect. We will focus on improving pupils’ ability to lead sporting activities to enhance their understanding of sports participation. We aim to ensure that every child is physically active and positive attitudes towards a healthy and active lifestyle are encouraged.
