The statutory guidance states that we need to consult with parents regarding our Relationships and Sex Education Policy.  As an academy, we have chosen to only include the statutory elements of education in our policy and what we teach.  This means that we will not teach elements of sex education beyond the basic principles of reproduction as part of our science curriculum and we will teach puberty to year 5 pupils as part of our health and science curriculum.  The details of this are within the policy below.  We would like to receive any feedback and comments you have regarding the policy prior to its implementation from September 2020.  The consultation period will run from 06/05/20 until the 20/05/20.  To feedback with any views or comments, please complete the web form accessed from this link: RSE Policy Consultation
