Part Time – 27.5 hours per week; Term Time + 5 days
Monday – Friday 8 am – 1:30 pm
NJC point 6 (actual salary £15,353.75 - 15,701.15)
Permanent Contract - required from September 2024
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Assistant Cook to work in our school kitchen.
As Assistant Cook you will assist the Head Cook in the preparation and cooking of meals according to the set menu, be responsible for ensuring a high quality, customer focused catering service is delivered to pupils, staff and visitors to the school.
You will be responsible for the preparation and service of food ensuring that all food is served in a safe and timely manner. Assist with keeping within the food budget and waste control. Assist Head Cook with ordering and stock take.
In addition, help to provide the service on a day-to-day basis, you will be involved in theme days and other events to promote and develop the service.
Help to ensure all staff duties and tasks are completed to the highest standard of hygiene, health and safety in food production and service areas to comply with company policies and procedures.
You will be provided with a uniform to wear as per the ELT guidelines.
